Religion Has Lost It’s Spiritual Appeal in Nigeria

The God that created humans is no longer inside the church or inside the mosque because the word church or mosque has lost it’s spiritual appeal. God now resides inside the subconscious mind of willing men and women who genuinely acknowledges Him as God the creator and are willing to worship Him in spirit and in truth.

Today, the mention of the word church or mosque even among many Christian and Moslem faithfuls, stirs anger, resentment and a nauseating feeling of a place where human desires are no longer fulfilled as expected or where spiritual criminals masquerading as men of God manipulate ignorant and miracle seeking worshippers with the Bible or the Koran.

Many people are getting frustrated and disillusioned about going to church or the mosque and about the things done inside these places.

Frustrated and spiritually disillusioned inside the church or the mosque, many Nigerians have chosen the fatal spiritual path of seeking for contaminated energies inside the streams, rivers and oceans, thinking they will find spiritual fulfillment that is lacking inside the church or the mosque.

Unfortunately, they ignorantly begin to give worship that is due to their creator to a new spiritual master they don’t even understand very well. Many have ventured into Omenala, Odinala or ihe Mmiri, in the name of leaving the church, yet, poverty still hangs perpetually on their necks like the Sword of Damocles.

Well, the reason the church and the mosque has turned toxic and unappealing is because many people who God called to work for Him or those who called themselves because they love to do the work of God, has developed a materialistic mindset and deviated from the original purpose of religion which is to teach humanity God’s ways and God’s standard. Instead, they selfishly strayed away into self-enriching messages of instant posterity, fake and arranged miracles, monetized church or  mosque programs.

They compete to build the biggest and most magnificent or gigantic church or mosque buildings, private schools and universities.

They compete among themselves who will buy the biggest and most expensive cars and private jets, while their members wallops in unending penury.

Now, because the managers of the church and the mosque has left the primary assignment of teaching, guiding, reorienting and empowering God seekers with the Bible or the Koran, many worshippers in Nigeria are getting poorer everyday, while many are facing death sentence in the hands of acute poverty and endemic corruption being perpetuated by same Christians and Moslems in government and in other high places in the country. Now, the question is what is the essence of religion?

But the solution is not in the hands of God, because God have tried for Nigeria. The solution is in the hands of those who manage God’s business, because church and mosque are God’s business.

The stark reality is that religion has failed Nigerians, and Nigerians are failing because of religion, but the creator of man is still faithful, He never fails. I trust Him.

Presently, the only acceptable religion is doing to others as you want others to do to you and building and maintaining a cordial personal relationship with your maker by being conscious to synchronize all your words and actions having the fear of God at heart. That’s the religion I am promoting..
